Description
The 1N4007 is a popular general-purpose silicon rectifier diode with a high reverse voltage rating of 1000V and a continuous forward current rating of 1A. Its primary function is converting alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) in power supplies and other electronic circuits.1N4007 diode has a cathode (-) and anode (+). In the schematic symbol, the tip of the triangle with the line on top of it is the cathode. The cathode is marked on the body of a diode by a band as shown below.
